Octogenarian author Antonio (played by the great Uruguayan author and screenwriter Antonio Larreta) has been confined to his bedroom due to illness, viewing the life of the Patagonian countryside, and the life he used to enjoy, from his window. While waiting for his estranged son to come visit for the first time in several years, Antonio decides to give his nurse the slip and take a much longed for walk in the fields. Director Carlos Sorin’s (BOMBON: EL PERRO; INTIMATE STORIES) latest film displays the precise and poetic qualities of a great short story.
